Fun and great for what it is - as I expected
Glad to see that there's an HD Tintin game with decent production values. Close-up, I personally don't like the CG rendering of the characters (especially faces), but this does not detract much as most of the game is played on crisp 2.5D without the full-on 3D renders. Personally, I'm glad they stuck with 2.5D instead of what would certainly have been a butt-ugly full 3D one.
The story takes some liberties from the source material (both movie and comics) but it didn't bother me much as I focused gameplay. It's mostly platforming with a few easy 'puzzles.' Difficulty is very easy - definitely for kids although I as an adult find it just right as an enjoyable and stress-free game. The only way you could die is by losing your health or falling from a steep drop, but health packs are abundant and enemies are easily dispatched, so aside from some mistaken falls, Tintin /Snowy won't die.
This game won't win any awards but I think the platforming elements are solid enough not to be labeled as 'shovelware.' Diehard fans of Tintin like me welcome this game wholeheartedly.
