Previously, I had only played M.U.S.H.A and Robo Eleste, so I picked this up on the strength of those games and M2. I had some hesitation that these were ancient game gear and master system games blown up to 720p/1080p and would be terrible. None of that is true. M2 does use a boarder, but it is super effective. It’s similar to what they did with Phantasy star where the borders have in game stats on weapons that are actually useful. All of these games are great modern representations of their originals, and the originals faithfully represented at the same time. I highly recommend this collection. They are old games but they hold up on their own and M2 added just the right amount of modernity to them.

Clash of Old meets New!
M2 honors these fantastic Sega Game Gear and Sega Master System shooters that would otherwise get lost in obscurity (Check the prices for each of these games from after market sellers). The games are all filled with great music, gameplay, and replayablity. My favorites are GG Aleste, Power Strike 2, and Aleste 3. Aleste 3 is smooth like Soldier Blade and epic in some spots like Nexzr. The way these ports have been upgraded with no slowdown and aspect ratio for modern screens are very good reasons to check this collection out.

Another great port by M2
Quality is superb, extras are excellent and the games included are very fun. M2 deserves our support!

GG Aleste 3 rules!
This is a really well done compilation, but GG Aleste 3 puts it over the top. It plays great, looks great, and sounds amazing, highly recommended.

This is a great compilation of smups for sega's 8-bit consoles. could have been amazing if they added musha and the other related megadrive/genesis smups. They'll probably release a 16-bit compilation down the line to maximize profit...
