Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII is the fourth entry in the critically acclaimed compilation of Final Fantasy VII, which spans multiple platforms and delves into the intricate world players first experienced in FFVII.Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII for the PSP™ is an action-RPG revolving around the story of Zack, who had already passed on to the Lifestream in FFVII. The mysteries left behind from FFVII will finally be revealed in this exciting chapter.Crisis Core has action- and menu-based elements. The new battle system is known as Digital Mind Wave, or "DMW", and revolves around a series of reels at the upper left corner of the screen which spin continuously as long as there is SP left to consume. Each rotate independently and upon lining up the three reels of the same character and value, a power-up or a "Power Surge!" will be rewarded to Zack.The player will have full control over Zack when moving around, and can rotate the camera with the left and right triggers. Every now and then, a random encounter battle will occur. This part of the FFVII Connects perfectly with the other versions. One of the Best games ever created!!!

Go prequel?
My friend let me play a bit of this. This game is THE reason why I'm suddenly buying a PSP (or else most likely I would have just stuck with my DS). Quote what one of the past reviewers said. "And this game is the reason Sony PSP sales boost up!" I really do believe that.

Best Final Fantasy game since FFX
HOLY WOW.
I just completed this game last night. Blew my socks off. Amazing gameplay, amazing storyline, amazing soundtrack, amazing voice acting, amazing graphics. AMAZING. Not to mention great side-quests and replayability.
I have to admit, I am in no way a FFVII fanboy, it was my least favorite out of the PS1 FF's because I found the story too plot-hole-y. Crisis Core has given me a whole new perspective and amount of respect for the Final Fantasy VII storyline and series as a whole.
A definite MUST BUY for fans of the games. GREAT JOB Square-Enix! I am no longer displeased with you.
