This is a collection of animation background art by Hidetoshi Kaneko, who has been active as a background art director since the 1980s.
Along with Kazuo Oga and Shinji Kimura, Kaneko was one of the people who established the style of anime background art in the early days of animation. He participated in many anime works, but this time it is a collection of background works drawn by analog.
This book contains 491 color sketches and 279 art settings, mainly focusing on the best hand-drawn background art sketches, from "Kyoshin Gorg" (1984) to "Shigurui" (2007). It is a must-have book not only for anime fans but also for active anime creators.
