The world's first Buddha action comic, "Butsu Zone," is revived in modern times as a luxurious collector's edition of two volumes, scanned from the existing original manuscript and using the latest digital technology. Hiroyuki Takei's serial debut work, which will later be linked to SHAMAN KING, is about Senju, the Thousand-Hand Avalokiteśvara Bodhisattva, who was sent from the Buddhist land to earth, heading to India while fighting Mara, the enemy of Buddhism, to lead Nishigishi Sachi, the reincarnation of Maitreya Bodhisattva, to enlightenment. The first volume includes Buddha 1 to Buddha 9, which depict the past of Ashura, from the meeting of familiar members such as Nishigishi Sachi, also known as Sacchan, who later becomes Sati Saigan in SHAMAN KING, with Senju and Jizo.
