Wa Yo Set is a band at the forefront of the Osaka jazz funk scene.
Their next release is a 7-inch double-sider featuring up-and-coming rappers and innovative covers of HipHop sounds and Jazzy HipHop classics. The title track is "What's My Name" featuring the up-and-coming rapper Cipruso, who is unique and expressive. The song is a rap song that takes the band's sound to overwhelming heights, as the two share a common consciousness of the street. The two bands' independent spirits miraculously intertwine, transcending genres to become one, a song that will leave its mark on each scene. The flip side is a cover of a jazzy hip-hop classic by Nujabes: Funky DL's "Don't Even Try It" with their unique and innovative arrangement. The cool original is followed by an urban sophistication with a flowing flow, creating an omnidirectional sound that only Wa Yo Set can express: "good to listen to and good to play.
