Item Description

Gift card adds 1000 YEN to your Nintendo eShop account.
For Use only on Nintendo Switch.

In order to redeem the Code:
1. Select the Nintendo eShop icon on the HOME menu.
2. Select "Add Funds." or "Balance."
3. Select "Redeem a Nintendo eShop Card."
4. Enter the 16-character activation code from the back of the prepaid card, then select"OK" to complete the transaction.

IMPORTANT NOTE:
"Letters and symbols not used with Prepaid Cards (i.e., O, I, Z, commas, and hyphens) in Nintendo eShop."

"August 30, 2022, it will no longer be possible to use a Nintendo eShop Card to add funds to an account in Nintendo eShop on the Nintendo 3DS family of systems."

"March 27, 2023, New Nintendo 3DS, New Nintendo 3DS XL, New Nintendo 2DS XL, Nintendo 3DS, Nintendo 3DS XL, Nintendo 2DS, Wii U Deluxe, Wii U Basic will no longer be possible to make purchases in Nintendo eShop, download free content and game demos."

Perfect for what I needed

I had never bought gift cards from this platform, however I've been wanting to play Crisis Core after finishing Rebirth earlier this week and discovered it was on sale for half the price on Japan for the Switch, so I bought this card and another one from here. I received them immediately after purchasing, the codes worked and I'm currently downloading the game as I write this review.

EXCELLENT!

When I was purchasing it, I was very unsure if this would really work or not. But I was able to redeem the code very quickly though it might seem a little tricky at the beginning. I had issues verifying my phone number but note that you can still continue purchasing. To redeem the code, they merely ask you to confirm your email.

Ps: I am from the USA and I purchased this to see if it would work in the Japanese area exclusive E-shop. I was very doubtful but very much happy afterward seeing it worked so well! Thanks, Playasia, I can finally purchase the Japanese games I love :)
