Romancing SaGa -Minstrel Song- Remastered retains everything that made the original game great. For example, it features the unique ‘Glimmer’ and ‘Combo’ systems, where characters can learn awesome new abilities in the heat of battle, the beautiful illustrations, and the wonderful soundtrack by Composer Kenji Ito.
It also features the series’ Free-form Scenario System, which lets you experience the story differently depending on how you play. You choose one of eight main characters, and as you explore the vast world, your actions and decisions will weave a story that is uniquely yours.
All that already makes the game a must-play for fans of classic turn-based RPGs, but this release adds even more.
The game now features remastered HD graphics and new quality of life features that make it easier and more convenient to play, and you can even expect some new elements too!

If you're a romancing saga fan this is a must have
If you're a fan of the series this will be up your alley. Takes a bit of time to get going due to the plot building but if you can stick it out you'll be satisfied!

Get this game
This is nice change of pace from the older Romancing games in the series. I’m into the mobile game, so seeing those characters pop up here was enjoyable for me. I found the exploration to be the main point of enjoyment for me. If you’re not used to the Romancing series of games, you’ll surely be thrown off by the leveling system.

Apparently the better version
While the new release by Aksys has more elaborate cover art, it also reportedly has compressed audio and textures.
I can't confirm it, but this release seems to be free of those issues. Great buy!

Another timeless classic.
Here we have another great RPG from a time when games were games and not catering to those that care about a game looking like real life over gameplay. Speaking of game play this game is great at it. It has a great story music and the voice acting is great too. SquareEnix should go back to making games like this and stop trying to appease the non gamer graphics hounds of today. 5 stars all the way highly recommended.

This is a good and unusual RPG with a lot of content. This game isn't for everyone though since it isn't a typical RPG. With that in mind I would recommend this to fans of the series or those who are looking to try something different.
