Fallout 3

This game is insane, so immersive and I have lost at least 70 hours of my life into this game but its worth it. A great game and a must have for people.

This games is MASSIVE, so many places to go and so many things to do. Never gets repetitive, but sucks hours out of your life as you follow the quests to their logical conclusion - not one for a quick fix before bedtime, you'll still be playing as the sun rises!

An instant classic and a must have. Only downside is that the story's ending creeps up on your fairly quickly and leaves a bit to be desired, however you can spend a hundred hours on the game and still not discover all there is in it.

There's a reason why this game won so many Game of the Year awards!

Everyone must have a copy of Fallout 3 in their collection.

I love this game and easily put in more than 200 hours on two long play-throughs. Some of the games haters can't get into the open structure of this, but to me this was its strength. There was enough motivation to explore and scavenge and while you're doing this, you stumble on a mission, or fantastic item, a difficult moral choice, or some hint of the past that fleshes out the world. Its a fascinating balance.
The DLC is also pretty solid, particularly Point Lookout which is very open structure like the main game. Other DLC tended to be more linear, more "shallow" but also fun nonetheless.
I'd put 6 stars up there if I could.
