Final Fantasy XIII-2 (English language Version)

nice gameplay and graphic. a lot better than XIII

Story-wise it's no longer linear and it won't take you 30 hours just to get past the "introduction" anymore, which is a good thing. The ending(?) is a bit of a shocker, and it makes you curious for more.

The battle mechanics, on the other hand, did not change much, which might mean that this is actually less of a challenge than the original. To get the most out of this, make sure to complete all quests, even though that means exploring every nook and cranny of the game.

I remember back when FF13 was in production, they have been news that the amount of discarded levels from 13 is enough to make a whole new game... well, FF13-2 feels just like Squarenix gobble together all the discarded materials and with minimum effort farts out FF13-2. That being said; I'm in my 37th hour into the game and I immediately set it aside once I got my hands on Diablo3. FF games used to mean something to me, but now Squarenix just keep going downhill. Hironobu Sakaguchi!!! why'd you left....

As the title suggests, it's better than the 1st game in terms of freedom. But the sad thing is that the developer has demoted most of the characters from the 1st game, at best, some extra that make cameo appearances (if not killed off altogether.....)

Main story is quite short (if you don't side track) but it does has side quests to for the purpose of time killing.

Captured Monster as 3rd party member...... well, it's a fresh idea... but i'd prefer some real character that help grows the story instead of some creature that is a good as useless outside the battlefield. Tho the "upgrading" of the monster is kinda fun on its own.

Anyways, bottom line, this is a good enough game for you to at least give it a try if you like RPGs, but not good enough for you to be crazy about it (even if a RPG lover, more so if you're a FF fan.)

Usually hate this kind of addon like sequels, but this one is really AWESOME!
