Fukufuku no Shima

I was looking for some imports for my PSP, and came accross this. It was really cheap ($9.90) on sale, and I heard it was like Animal Crossing, so I bought it. Not a good idea. I was hoping it would have more action than words, but I was wrong. This is a very text heavy game, which you must know kanji for if you wanna get anywhere. Mostly, I\'ve learned to pick a random answer when people will ask you something, and then walk around clicking on anything and everything until something happens. It is almost impossible to get through the start menu, since it gives you many many choices. Sometimes you will be sent into a room with an animal in a pipe, which I think is for saving but it\'s very hard to figure out. If you (like me) know absolutely nothing (or very little) of Kanji, then I\'d strongly advise you to stay away from this game. Otherwise it is a very unique game (though I have no idea what you do in it...), and should be given a try if you can read Japanese.

I just got this game and I was surprised how texty it is. Since there\'s no direct goals or anything and the game seems to be basically just an over-developed horoscope reader, unless you\'re really good with reading kanji, the game is basically worthless. I mainly bought it because of the price and I\'ve been taking Japanese classes for 2 years now and I\'m still having a hard time with the readings. I still think it\'s worth a buy just because it\'s so unique, but don\'t expect to get anything out of the game unless you can read fluent Japanese or you want to use a kanji dictionary every couple seconds

This is a very unique game. Some language skills are required but you can still figure out what\'s going on. The game very nice graphics and is different from the other PSP titles out there. I highly recommend.
