Great Movie Tie-in!
I expect most gamers to agree when I say that games based on or around the universe of a movie or movie series are usually complete pants. Thankfully Ghostbusters is an exception.
Written and performed by the same people who made the movies and developed by people who appear to love the source material. Ghostbusters adheres very closely to the canon of the Ghostbusters world.
Catching ghosts in a trap is a tug-of-war struggle fans of the movies will recognise and love. The visual and audio effects are also spot-on with many favourites returning and plenty of references for the eagle-eyed.
As mentioned the actual ghost busting stands up well and is a load of fun. As you play through the story mode, new weapons are added to your pack adding interest and keeps things fresh.
Problems - the dodge move is mostly useless and occasionally you are unavoidably knocked down causing much frustration. Your NPC partners will help you back on your feet Gears of War style however, but it is an issue worth mentioning.
Some may also loath the 7-8 hour play time, personally I feel the game didn't outstay it's welcome and I see myself returning to play it several more times.
