Personally, I am not a big fan of Professor Layton games, as I find the puzzles can become a little tedious. I am a huge fan of the Ace Attorney series though, so naturally I was interested in this crossover.
I think the balance is just about right, so you get a nice mixture of puzzles and court cases and not so bogged down with just one style of play. The court cases bring something new to Ace Attorney fans, but the Layton sections seem to be the same as the rest in his own series.
I love the anime cutscenes and there were points in the story where I became quite worked up due to the suspense, so it was quite a gripping game. My one minor issue with it was that the voice actor for Phoenix Wright just didn't bring the character to life as well as the other characters, but that doesn't really bring the game down.
Overall, fantastic game, well worth buying.
