The Cinematography Of Studio Ghibli - Atsushi Okui

Following the work of Atsushi Okui, who started the photography department at Studio Ghibli and supported the production of numerous animation works, Mr. Okui worked on ``AKIRA'', ``Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack'', and ``Crimson'' while working at Asahi Production. Contains everything from ``Buta'' to Studio Ghibli's latest works and Studio Ponoc's works.
We will explain the production process based on interviews and a wealth of illustrations, and explore the method of creating images through photography. We will explore the work of animation filming and the role of video production, from analog production, where cell images were handled on a shooting stand, to digital production. Comments from directors Hayao Miyazaki, Yoshiyuki Tomino, Katsuhiro Otomo, and other staff members are also included!
