Brink

really nice shooter, good graphics

I do not understand why this game has gotten so many mixed reviews. I LOVED this game. There are tons of room for improvement, but the game is different and is still a blast to play so I can over look the the faults.
I had just as much fun playing offline as I did online. In fact I got about 90% of the achievements while playing off line and only played online a few times with 1 of my friends.

Games like this and Bullitstorm are trying to add new elements to a genre of games that has been pretty the exact same for 10 years.

Brink is a shooter, have no doubts about that but the problem is that there are classes and it is difficult to tell them apart.
As a soldier you should easily dominate a medic but since you can't tell whether or not to flee the battle or go for broke means that you simply stay in the fight. This bothers me as you should be able to tell what class you are shooting at.
Speaking of medics, you will be busy as your teammates die often.

Even though there are plenty of things to complain about, I am enjoying the game so far and while some things that should already by unlocked for your class are not unlocked I look forward to unlocking them.

Brink is a nice change of pace from the normal shooters and the matches take time which is also a good thing. Brink is worth taking a look at. It is not COD but sometimes that is a good thing.
