Mass Effect 3

A lot of the lore and themes that have been recurring in the Mass Effect universe mirrored a lot of issues that affected our day to day lives; The extreme bias of an institution beyond conventional comprehension. The forced oppression and suppression of an ethnic group simply because they are perceived as primitive and unfit to partake in modern society. Even the fact that the extremely conservative are far too preoccupied with preserving their own established societies that they fail to see a looming threat which threatens all of existence.

What I've loved about the Mass Effect series was because it challenged me both as a fighter - a shooter specifically - as well as challenged my morality because everything that would happen in the galaxy, good or bad, weighed heavily on me. It's been said before that no good deed goes unpunished, and even with the most noblest of ambitions requires the ultimate sacrifice. Being who I am as a human being: I didn't hesitate to do what I had to do to save the galaxy - and in turn: The universe.

This particular installment has been judged superficially - and unjustly at that. There were fans of the series who failed to see the overall message of the franchise and were far too fixated on their respective Shepard's relationships with the other characters. Then there were those who were new to the franchise and criticized the ending simply because they didn't want to use their imaginations.

If you ask me, having invested into the Mass Effect franchise since Mass Effect 2 was released on the PS3: I am completely and utterly satisfied with how my Commander Shepard's journey came to a close. The galaxy has achieved the final stage of evolution and all living things can coexist completely in harmony - to finally achieve some degree of self-actualization after all the chaos had passed. I'm grateful that the sacrifice of my Shepard could yield such a prosperous and tranquil future.

At the end of all the struggles: One must wonder what they want to achieve from it all...I'd like to think that I did at least something to make the world - or in this case the galaxy - a better place to live.

It's a good game, but the Mass Effect 2 it's even better. They forgot that Mass Effect was an RPG and they did this game as if it was an action game. The end it's a disappointment.
