Set in Universal Century 0079, Side 3, the furthest space colony from Earth, declares itself the Principality of Zeon and begins an independence war against the Federation forces. Amuro, a 15 year old boy living in Side 7, happens to board the mobile suit Gundam during a Zeon surprise attack and repels the enemy mobile suit Zaku. White Base, carrying evacuees, evades the pursuing Zeon forces and begins its escape journey. The Red Comet Char of the Zeon forces closes in. All the adults are dead. If you want to survive, you must fight. The will of Amuro makes Gundam fly.
