This is a great remake of an already very good game on the Famicom/NES. The updated visuals are beautiful and capture the spirit of the original and push well beyond it. Good sound, controls and overall gameplay make this a winning package. Worth a purchase for those who love older style 2D platforming action.

It's great to see games like this which embraces 2D pixel art to its awesome potential and remake one of the old games that kids these days will likely never know or have tried. Great challenge awaits you for those who dare, and it looks are plays wonderful.

I have to appreciate the dedication and quality that went into this game as it's truly a love letter to gamers who grew up during the time of the Bit consoles and arcade era. The gameplay is incredibly addictive as when you get a gameover you don't feel frustrated or annoyed but want to quickly get back into the game to see how far you can get through from the previous attempt. Overall a real game gem and one that should not be overlooked as with many of these games when it's too late and you can't get a copy then all you're going to feel is regret for not getting it sooner.
